About us
Dr. Mays Al-Shaer
Dr. Mays Al-Shaer is board certified in Internal Medicine and specializes exclusively in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Al-Shaer has been practicing dermatology and serving the residents of the Hudson Valley since 2011. Dr. Al-Shaer is renowned for her unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care and delivering excellent outcomes to her patients.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Jordan and completed her residency at the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine. Following this, Dr. Al-Shaer pursued her Fellowship in dermatology at the Institute for Family Health in Kingston, NY. After completing her medical training, she underwent further training in laser and light-based skin treatments at the National Laser Institute.

Riverway Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology is located in The Maples, a stunning historic building in Rhinebeck, NY conveniently situated across the street from Northern Dutchess Hospital. Riverway Medical is proud to be a locally-owned, independent practice. We are invested in our community and go the extra mile for our patients.
